AEW Discussing Potential Revival Of Dark

AEW Dark return discussed within AEW

All Elite Wrestling may revive one of their former shows.

A new TV deal between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery was officially announced on Wednesday in a new arrangement that will make All Elite Wrestling very profitable. AEW programming became exclusive to WBD as part of the contract for Collision in the Summer of 2023 but that exclusivity clause no longer applies in the new deal, with AEW even shopping around a new show to Fox in AEW Shockwave.

The exclusive clause led to the cancellation of AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation in 2023. As the clause isn't included in the new TV deal, however, there have been "mentions internally" within All Elite Wrestling about possibly using Dark again in the future, according to Fightful Select. Nothing is currently confirmed, however.

AEW Dark premiered on October 8, 2019 and aired on AEW's YouTube channel. The show was initially a supplement to Dynamite but quickly became a show filled with squash matches to pad out AEW talent's win-loss records.

While AEW Dark could be revived, another AEW show in Rampage is facing cancellation after Dynamite and Collision were prioritised in the new TV deal.
