AEW Reportedly Interested In Chad Gable
AEW could swoop for Chad Gable if his WWE deal expires
In a year which has seen many WWE contracts near their expiration dates, most talents have ended up signing new deals and committing their future to the company. However, in the case of Chad Gable reports indicate that the Alpha Academy leader is courted by both WWE and All Elite Wrestling.
Gable’s current deal is set to expire on June 7, and a report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that AEW could reach out to Gable should his WWE deal expire.
The report states that WWE have made an ‘excellent’ offer to Gable, with the former WWE Tag Team Champion currently on the end of a substantial heel push in the Intercontinental Championship scene. Whilst AEW are said to be interested, they cannot legally make an approach until Gable’s WWE deal officially ends, although there are said to be some in AEW pushing Gable to take a meeting with AEW President Tony Khan should he end up a free agent.
Gable is set to wrestle Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn at WWE’s upcoming Clash at the Castle premium live event in Glasgow on June 15.
