AEW's Ryo Mizunami Hospitalised After Positive COVID-19 Test

Best wishes to Ryo Mizunami

Ryo Mizunami has been hospitalised after testing positive for COVID-19 on July 26, PWInsider has reported.

Mizunami was said to have come down with a fever a few days ago and she started to develop pneumonia which led to her hospitalisation.

The AEW star is currently wrestling in Japan and she competed at a SEAdLINNNG show on July 22. Other SEAdLINNNG stars Nanae Takahashi and Honori Hana have also tested positive for COVID-19 on July 26. They are currently recovering at home, while the rest of the promotion's roster tested negative. SEAdLINNNG postponed their July 26 show as a result.

Mizunami has made sporadic appearances in All Elite Wrestling since the company's inaugural show, Double Or Nothing 2019. She returned to the company ahead of the 2021 Revolution pay-per-view and she unsuccessfully challenged Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women's World Championship at the show. Mizunami then headed back to Japan in April and she recently captured the SEAdLINNNG Beyond The Sea Title on July 11.
