AEW Talent Turns Heel At NJPW STRONG Detonation Taping

An AEW talent is now a heel in NJPW

An All Elite Wrestling talent turned heel at New Japan Pro-Wrestling's STRONG Detonation taping on Sunday, November 20 from the Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.

Christopher Daniels was in action against The DKC in the opening contest and following his win, The Fallen Angel beat down the LA Dojo talent, turning heel in the process.

Daniels returned to NJPW as part of STRONG in December 2021 and he has faced the likes of Yuya Uemura, Karl Fredericks, Rocky Romero, and Jay White over the past 11 months.

Daniels remains under contract with All Elite Wrestling, although he primarily works behind the scenes in the promotion as the Manager of Talent Relations. He last competed on AEW TV in July in a loss to Jay Lethal on Rampage.

Several NJPW stars were in action at the Detonation taping as KENTA defeated Bad Dude Tito, Juice Robinson overcame Blake Christian, the Motor City Machine Guns retained the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships against Stray Dog Army, and Bobby Fish defeated Kevin Blackwood.

A former WWE tag team in Lucha House Party also reformed at Detonation as Mascara Dorada and Lince Dorado picked up a win over Cody Chhun and Guillermo Rosas. In the main event, Fred Rosser retained the STRONG Openweight Title against JR Kratos. Rosser was then attacked by Peter Avalon following the match.
