AEW World Title Challenger At Grand Slam To Be Decided In AEW Royal Rampage Battle Royal

Royal Rampage announced with winner facing AEW World Champion at Grand Slam IV

A fourth trip to New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium is on the horizon for All Elite Wrestling, with the fourth annual Grand Slam set for September 25.

Although we are two months away from the show, AEW have announced a Royal Rampage Battle Royal for this week’s upcoming episode of Rampage on July 26, with the winner set to receive an AEW World Title shot at Grand Slam.

AEW President Tony Khan announced the match on X/Twitter:

“Thank you all who watch AEW! This week means opportunity, excitement, emotion, + TOMORROW #AEWBloodAndGuts on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite on TBS hours from now! Then join us on TNT, THIS FRIDAY #AEWRampage for the ROYAL RAMPAGE, winner gets a World Title shot in at Grand Slam!”

AEW previously held Royal Rampage matches in 2022, and in July 2023, with the latter seeing Darby Allin winning a TNT Championship shot at All Out, although Allin was unsuccessful in his championship match against Luchasaurus at the event.

Although Swerve Strickland is the current AEW World Champion, that may not be the case at Grand Slam IV, with Swerve set to put the title on the line against Bryan Danielson at All In on August 25, with the winner of that match likely defending the title at All Out two weeks later on September 7.
