AEW's Cody Rhodes on WWE Using The Great American Bash: "I Will Never Be Bitter About Dusty's Legacy Being Honoured"

Cody Rhodes says he will never be bitter about WWE honouring the legacy of his father, Dusty Rhodes, after the company used 'The Great American Bash' name on their NXT show on Tuesday.
NXT presented 'The Great American Bash' this week, a concept invented by Cody's dad Dusty in 1985 and first used as part of Jim Crockett Promotions, which later transitioned into WCW.
The event has been owned by WWE since they purchased WCW in 2004, and has been used on WWE television since its re-debut in 2004.
A fan took to Twitter to send the AEW Executive Vice-President a message, saying he believes WWE should give the rights to 'The Great American Bash' back to him and brother Dustin in recognition of Dusty Rhode's legacy.
Responding on Twitter, Cody said: "Business is business. They have the rights to many of Dusty’s greatest creations.
"My hope is that they do them justice and I will never be bitter about his legacy being honoured and a whole new generation seeing he was a genius w/lasting concepts."
