Backstage News On Kevin Owens Attacking Cody Rhodes Following WWE Bad Blood

Triple H also addresses the post-WWE Bad Blood attack

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque has addressed the incident between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes that occurred following Saturday night's Bad Blood pay-per-view/premium live event.

The main event of Bad Blood saw Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns successfully team together to defeat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, with Reigns and Rhodes picking up the win following the return of Jimmy Uso. Kevin Owens had taken issue with Cody aligning himself with Reigns for the match and their issues continued following Bad Blood as fan footage revealed Owens attacked the Undisputed WWE Champion outside of Cody's travel bus following a verbal argument. Security eventually arrived, with Owens driving off after he was pulled away from Rhodes.

Triple H tweeted on Sunday night about the attack: "We are aware of the incident outside of the arena last night between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. The matter will be dealt with internally."

If the moment was filmed by WWE cameras for airing on SmackDown is unknown. WWE's plan with the attack, though, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider was to make it a viral moment as the company knew fans would film the incident and share it on social media.
