Brett Lauderdale Comments On Possibility Of Joey Janela Signing With WWE
Could the Bad Boy Joey Janela join WWE? Brett Lauderdale gives his take
Whilst nothing has officially been announced, there seems to be some sort of loose relationship between WWE and GCW, with Brett Lauderdale having been a guest of Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 38.
It’s not just Lauderdale who appears to be cosy with WWE, as GCW’s Joey Janela recently took to Twitter to publicly promote WWE, prompting rumours of an official partnership between the two companies.
Whilst Janela’s Twitter activity was later spoken of as a joke, that hasn’t stopped some speaking of the possibility of Janela in a WWE ring, with GCW Owner Lauderdale saying the following to Wrestling Inc.:
"There are times when I think Joey's the exact opposite of fitting in an environment like that. And then there are other times where I think, 'Oh no, he'd be perfect for this’,” said Lauderdale. “But one thing that I've learned about Joey as well over the years is that you can never doubt him. You can never count him out or doubt him, what he's capable of or what he can do ... he's motivated, he's in great shape."
Janela was previously signed to AEW, before leaving the promotion earlier in 2022.
