Damian Priest: I've Never Been Hit Harder By Anybody Than Sheamus In WWE

Priest will face Sheamus at Extreme Rules 2021

Damian Priest says no one in WWE has ever hit him has hard as he was hit by Sheamus during their United States Championship Match at SummerSlam 2021.

Priest ended Sheamus' run with the United States Title at the August pay-per-view, claiming his first major championship on the WWE main roster.

The two are scheduled for a rematch for the Championship at WWE Extreme Rules next Sunday and, reflecting on their first outing, Priest admits that he's never been struck as hard as Sheamus was hitting him during their SummerSlam bout.

Speaking on the Out of Character podcast with Ryan Satin, Priest said: "It was a hard-hitting match to say the least. I would say this that in my 17-18 years of this business, never in this business, have I been hit harder than I’ve been hit by Sheamus. It's ridiculous.

"And especially at SummerSlam. I’m not saying that I don’t hit hard either, but wow! So yeah, I was definitely lumped up after that match. I was feeling it but that moment was too cool for me to just worry about a little bit of pain. I was having the time of my life."
