Drew McIntyre Wants WWE NXT UK To Have A Match At Clash At The Castle

McIntyre wants to see NXT UK involved at Clash At The Castle

Drew McIntyre wants to see WWE's UK brand represented at the Clash At The Castle pay-per-view on September 3 in Cardiff, Wales.

Speaking with Wrestling Inc., McIntyre declared that "we should get an NXT UK match on that show", referring to Clash At The Castle. The Scottish Warrior did not reveal which talent he would like to see in action at the pay-per-view.

NXT UK wrestlers did used to compete at NXT's TakeOver events before WWE scrapped them but the UK brand has never had a match at a main roster pay-per-view. The brand has also not had a special event for two years, with the last one being NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II back in January 2020. That show was headlined by an NXT UK Title match between WALTER and Joe Coffey.

If NXT UK will be represented at Clash At The Castle remains to be seen but Drew McIntyre will seemingly be in action at the UK pay-per-view as the former WWE Champion challenged Roman Reigns to an Undisputed WWE Universal Title match at the event. Reigns has yet to accept the challenge but he does have to face Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing Match at SummerSlam on July 30 first.
