Drew McIntyre Will Be Off WWE TV To Recover From Injury

Drew McIntyre won’t be at WWE television to celebrate the signing of his new multi-year contract just yet. It has been known over the last few weeks that McIntyre has been working through an injury, competing on WWE’s UK tour despite suffering from a badly hyperextended elbow. 

In a report looking at the details of McIntyre’s new WWE deal, PWInsider have noted that McIntyre will no longer be working through the injury, and instead will be taking time off to recover. It isn’t known how long he will be away from WWE programming, but the wording used in the report is that he will not be back “immediately”. It is said though that McIntyre has received a great deal of respect from those in WWE due to working the UK tour despite being injured.  

In a social media post over the last couple of weeks, McIntyre confirmed reports of an injury, noting that he wasn’t taking time off like “a pathetic coward bitch like CM Punk”. Depending on how long he is off TV, The Scottish Warrior might have to eat his own words.
