Entrants Announced For AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament

The winner will receive a title shot

The eight participants in the AEW World title eliminator tournament were announced on Saturday night at the conclusion of AEW Dynamite, with a few ex World champions among the field.

In one quarterfinal bout, Jon Moxley goes one on one with 10 of the Dark Order. The date for which that match takes place has not yet been announced.

On the same side of the bracket, Orange Cassidy will take on Powerhouse Hobbs of Team Taz. That match is scheduled to take place on the October 22 episode of AEW Rampage in Orlando.

The other two quarterfinal bouts are set for the October 23 Dynamite, also in Orlando. In one match, Bryan Danielson will face off with Dustin Rhodes. In the other match, Lance Archer will wrestle Eddie Kingston.

The final match of the tournament will take place at Full Gear in Minneapolis on November 13.

This will be the second annual World title eliminator tournament. Kenny Omega won last year's tournament, defeating Adam Page in the finals. Omega went on to defeat Moxley for the World title on the December 2 "Winter is Coming" Dynamite.
