First Participant In PWG Battle Of Los Angeles 2023 Revealed

Michael Oku heading to PWG for Battle of Los Angeles!

A star of the British and Irish independent wrestling scene will be part of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's Battle of Los Angeles.

PWG have revealed that Michael Oku will be the first participant in the 2023 BOLA. The tournament will be held on Saturday, January 7 and Sunday, January 8 at the Globe Theatre in Los Angeles. BOLA will also be Michael Oku's PWG debut.

Oku has established himself as one of the biggest stars in Europe in recent years and he primarily competes for the UK's RevPro promotion. The 29-year-old was involved in one of the matches of 2022 earlier this year when he faced Will Ospreay in a 41-minute clash for the RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship.

Oku has also performed sporadically in the United States in 2022 for the likes of GCW and Garden State Pro Wrestling.

BOLA remains one of the biggest tournaments in independent wrestling. It returned after a two-year hiatus in 2022, with Daniel Garcia coming out on top after defeating "Speedball" Mike Bailey in the final.

Michael Oku will be the latest guest on Cultaholic Wrestling's Desert Island Graps. Check out the episode on Thursday!
