Former WWE Superstar Teddy Hart Arrested
Could face up to 10 years in prison...
Back in December, Major League Wrestling announced they had released Teddy Hart (real name Edward Annis). He had been a big part of MLW since its relaunch in 2017 and was the longest-reigning MLW Middleweight Champion in the promotion's history. He was also a member of the new Hart Foundation with Brian Pillman Jr. and Davey Boy Smith Jr.
On Tuesday night, Hart was arrested in Richmond, Virginia on charges of possession of a Schedule III narcotic with intent to sell or distribute. Hart was incarcerated at Richmond County Jail, but it is unknown whether or not he has been released on bail.
Schedule III drugs include anabolic steroids, ketamine, codeine and other substances.
If found guilty of the charges against him, Annis could spend up to 10 years in prison or up to one year in prison with a fine of up to $2500. He is expected in court on April 23.
A member of the Hart family, Teddy's professional wrestling career began back in 1998 when he was the youngest person ever to sign a contract with WWE. However, he was released from the company in 2002 because of attitude problems. WWE would later re-sign him in 2006, but he only lasted a year before being let go again.
