Former WWE Tag Team Reunites At IMPACT Wrestling Tapings

It was their first interaction in over a decade

Former WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov reunited at the most recent set of IMPACT Wrestling tapings.

The WrestleWorld Twitter account tweeted out a picture of the pair and noted that it was their first time together in wrestling since Kozlov was released by WWE in August 2011.

PWInsider previously reported that Kozlov was backstage visiting at the tapings, which took place in Sam's Town Live in Las Vegas a couple of weeks back. Kozlov has previously worked for IMPACT as a Russian-language commentator for the promotion on RuTube (one of the largest video-sharing websites in Russia).

Marella, meanwhile, signed with the company earlier this year and acts as an on-screen Director of Authority. Though it is a non-wrestling role, he hasn't ruled out a return to the ring in the future.

A tag team in the classic 'odd couple' mould, Marella and Kozlov won the WWE Tag Team Titles on the December 6, 2010 episode of Raw. They held them for 76 days, before dropping the belts to The Corre (Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel) at Elimination Chamber 2011.

Kozlov retired from in-ring competition in 2012 after wrestling a handful of matches for Antonio Inoki's IGF promotion in Japan.
