Hangman Page Not Planned For AEW Return In The Next Week

The former AEW World Champion will not be returning just yet.

AEW fans hoping to see the return of 'Hangman' Adam Page this week shouldn't get their hopes up.

According to a new report by Fightful Select, the former AEW World Champion is not (as of this past weekend) scheduled to appear on this week's edition of Dynamite.

There was speculation that Page may make his return to Tony Khan's promotion at the show, since it is taking place near his home in Virginia. A previous report indicated that he would be returning soon, likely within the next month.

The 32-year-old has been absent from AEW programming since Revolution (on March 3), where he competed in an AEW World Title three way match with Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland.

It was subsequently revealed that his time off was due to a 'family' reason, which was said to be 'nothing negative'.

To explain his impending hiatus, Page was 'indefinitely suspended' (without pay) from The Elite by The Young Bucks. This may have been done to set up Hangman's return as a babyface, as well as a future programme with the Bucks and Kazuchika Okada, but reports have suggested Page will come back as a heel.
