Intercontinental Title Match Set For WWE RAW

Sami Zayn will be defending the Intercontinental Championship on RAW

The Intercontinental Championship scene has heated in recent weeks with several wrestlers gunning for current champion Sami Zayn, and he will be putting the title up for grabs once again on Monday Night RAW.

On X, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce revealed that he had agreed to Ilja Dragunov’s request for a title match, making a bout between Dragunov and Zayn official for tomorrow night’s July 15 episode of RAW at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.

At the recent Money in the Bank 2024 premium live event, Zayn successfully outlasted Bron Breakker to walk away with the gold, but on the following episode of RAW, Breakker made it clear that he was not done with Zayn, issuing an attack. Later on in the show, Breakker took on Dragunov in singles action, but Breakker was disqualified from the bout due to a vicious assault on Dragunov.

Pearce also announced another singles match for this upcoming RAW, as he pit together two meaty men in Sheamus and Bronson Reed, who are both also looking to build momentum in the midcard title picture.
