JBL To Be Inducted Into WWE Hall Of Fame

The Wrestling God Enters The Hall Of Fame...

WrestleMania 36 is just over one month away, and the annual Hall Of Fame ceremony is set to take place on April 2, 2020 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. The company has already announced The nWo, Batista, and The Bella Twins will be part of this year’s class.

On last night’s episode of WWE Backstage, former WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield was revealed as the next inductee into the Hall Of Fame.

JBL enjoyed a successful career inside the squared circle, wrestling in WWE for 13 years from 1996 until 2009. He enjoyed one reign as WWE Champion when he captured the belt from Eddie Guerrero at the Great American Bash 2004. He went on to hold the title for 280 days as the top heel in the company, in which he had memorable matches with The Undertaker, Booker T, Guerrero, and Big Show.

The Wrestling God lost the title to John Cena at WrestleMania 21, but continued his run as a top star in the company as he competed in multiple world title matches and enjoyed reigns as United States Champion and Intercontinental Champion before he decided to retire at WrestleMania 25.

Layfield then returned to our TV screens in 2012 as a colour commentator and he appeared on both Raw and SmackDown before stepping away from the role in 2017.
