Jim Ross Provides Health Update On Jerry Lawler

The King continues to make positive progress

Jerry Lawler's friend and former broadcast partner Jim Ross has provided an update on the health of his fellow WWE Hall of Famer.

Lawler was forced to undergo emergency surgery after suffering a massive stroke on February 6. He was subsequently discharged from hospital and made a brief appearance (via a pre-recorded video) at WWE's Hall of Fame ceremony earlier this month (as part of Andy Kaufman's induction).

According to Good ol' JR, The King continues to make positive progress.

On Monday, Ross tweeted"Had a great one hour convo today with ⁦@JerryLawler who's recovering from the affects of a stroke. Jerry's voice seem to get stronger the longer we spoke. The King will undergo a procedure next week to help his situation".

Lawler - who had previously suffered a stroke in 2018 - recently sent out thanks to his fans for their well wishes, as well as to hospital staff who helped look after him during his recovery.

The 73-year-old is scheduled to make his first public appearance since the stroke at a fan convention in August.
