Kurt Angle Was Eliminated Early From WWE Elimination Chamber Match Because He Won At Rock Paper Scissors

Never mess with Angle when it comes to Rock Paper Scissors

Rock Paper Scissors can lead to many wonderful things, including an early bath for Kurt Angle.

Back at New Year's Revolution 2006, Angle was involved in the WWE Title Elimination Chamber Match with Shawn Michaels, Carlito, Kane, Chris Masters and champion John Cena.

As Cena was scheduled to retain the gold, Kurt Angle revealed on his podcast he and the other four competitors who weren't winning played Rock Paper Scissors to determine the order in which they would be eliminated.

Angle ultimately won and he was eliminated after 13 minutes following a Sweet Chin Music from Shawn Michaels.

"The reason I got eliminated early is because I won Paper Rock Scissors. We had a competition, because John Cena was the [WWE] Champion [and] he was going to retain the title in the Elimination Chamber so the other five of us decided everybody wanted to get eliminated early, they didn't want to last the whole match because they weren't gonna win, and I won Paper Rock Scissors so I got eliminated first. That doesn't happen very often, but we did it that night," Angle said.

In other Kurt Angle news, The Wrestling Machine revealed that he was set to return to WWE for a three-week programme but it was scrapped at the last minute ahead of the 2022 Royal Rumble.
