Kushida Vs. Velveteen Dream Added To NXT TakeOver 31

Stemming from some recent run-ins...

WWE announced on Saturday that a match between Kushida and Velveteen Dream has been added to next Sunday night's TakeOver 31 event, bringing the match card to four bouts as of now.

The match stems from this past Wednesday night's Gauntlet Eliminator match, in which interference from Dream led to Kushida being eliminated from the five man contest.

The two have had previous run ins over the preceding month-plus. Both men lost to Cameron Grimes in a triple threat qualifier for the North American title ladder match last month, after Grimes pinned Kushida. Dream attacked Kushida after the mutual loss.

Kushida retaliated by attacking Dream on an episode of NXT earlier in September.

The match will mark Kushida's first ever NXT TakeOver bout.

The updated card for NXT TakeOver 31, taking place Sunday night, October 4 at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL, is as follows:

* NXT Title: Finn Balor (c) vs. Kyle O'Reilly

* NXT Women's: Io Shirai (c) vs. Candice LeRae

* NXT North American: Damian Priest (c) vs. Johnny Gargano

* Kushida vs. Velveteen Dream
