Malakai Black Reveals Why He Signed For AEW

Tony Khan also appears to have made a good first impression

Malakai Black and All Elite Wrestling shocked the wrestling world on Wednesday when the former Tommy End debuted at Road Roger and promptly dispatched of Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes with two Spinning Heel Kicks. 

AEW have since officially announced Black's signing and the new Dynamite star took to Twitch following his debut and revealed why he signed with Tony Khan's promotion. 

"It was the right move for me to make for me, my family, my career, the state of mind I'm in. It's just a really good company. I can't say enough good things about it. They have a bright future. There are a lot of dedicated people and I'm really glad to be part of it," Black said.

The former WWE NXT Champion also reflected on working with Tony Khan and the AEW president appears to have made a very good first impression.

"My first impression of Tony is great. What a f*cking wonderful dude. Really nice guy. Loves his company. Love wrestling," Black added.

The new AEW wrestler also noted he wasn't sure if he can wrestle in NJPW, but admitted it would be great if he could.
