More On Penta El Zero Miedo's AEW Contract Status

There are some more details surrounding Penta El Zero Miedo's expiring AEW deal

It was reported earlier this week that Penta El Zero Miedo’s contract with AEW was coming up in the upcoming months, with potential interest from the likes of WWE if his deal ends up expiring.

Some new details have emerged from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter regarding the status of Penta and the end of his AEW contract, with some conflicting details suggesting that things could go one way or the other.

According to Meltzer, Tony Khan is under the belief that Penta will be remaining with AEW, and that he was confident that an agreement would be reached. However, it is also stated that Penta was reportedly unhappy for some time due to being unable to compete on shows with CMLL talents due to his prior ties to AAA. It is noted though that Penta, along with the likes of Rey Fenix, have not competed in AAA for so long now that this will no longer be an issue.

When looking ahead to the future, it is reported that “Penta was looking at buying the rights to his name, to make sure he could take the gimmick to WWE if necessary”. This suggests that Penta is assessing his options, and re-signing with AEW is not a given.
