Nick Khan Open To WWE SmackDown Moving Nights

SmackDown might not be on Friday nights from 2024

Unlike Raw, SmackDown has not had a set night throughout the show's history, having aired on Tuesday and Thursday nights along with its current spot on Friday nights on FOX.

SmackDown moved from Tuesday nights on USA Network to Friday nights on FOX in 2019 during the previous round of media rights deals. The TV deal for SmackDown is once again up for renegotiation ahead of the FOX deal expiring in 2024, which could lead to another move for the blue brand.

Speaking about the situation at MoffettNathanson's Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference, WWE CEO Nick Khan revealed he was open to SmackDown moving nights as he stated "we can go any night of the week." Khan also expects a "good increase" for Raw and SmackDown during the current round of negotiations.

It is believed the exclusive negotiation period for FOX and USA over SmackDown and Raw in the United States has come to an end. Which other networks might be interested in the media rights is currently unknown.
