Renee Paquette To Host Special WWE SmackDown Kickoff Show On October 16

She wasn't gone for long...

Following SummerSlam 2020, Renee Young (Renee Paquette) departed WWE after eight years with the company. Paquette later revealed she handed in her notice because she felt like she had achieved everything she set out to do with WWE and now was the right time for a new challenge.

The popular former host of Talking Smack is set to return to WWE TV next week in her role with FOX Sports. The TV network announced Paquette will co-host a special Friday Night SmackDown Kickoff Show on October 16 to celebrate the second season of SmackDown on FOX. She will be joined by Booker T and a host of WWE Superstars inside the ThunderDome in Orlando, Florida.

The Kickoff Show will begin at 7:30 pm ET on October 16 ahead of SmackDown at 8 pm ET.

Paquette revealed she was still under contract with FOX Sports following her WWE resignation. She was previously the host of WWE Backstage on FS1 alongside Booker T but the show was cancelled in June because of low ratings.
