Report: 2 WWE Clash Of Champions 2020 Matches Called Off

Major changes to tonight's card...

Two matches at tonight's WWE Clash of Champions have reportedly been called off - although the nature of their replacements is still unclear.

According to John Pollock of POST Wrestling, the matches in question are the SmackDown Women's Championship match between Bayley and Nikki Cross, and the Women's Tag Team Title bout between champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, and challengers The Riott Squad.

Cross did not appear on the go-home SmackDown this week, with Fightful Select reporting that her absence from tonight's card was something WWE had already taken into account and planned for. Another Superstar is expected to step in as a replacement opponent for Bayley, although their identity is unclear at this time.

The status of the Women's Tag Team Title match is slightly more complicated, with Shayna Baszler recently posting a preview of her ring gear on Instagram - implying that she will still compete in some capacity.

According to Fightful Select, there is a lot of frustration within WWE regarding the changes. In particular, two wrestlers are frustrated with the company's training methods, saying that they have left people susceptible to COVID-19 exposure.
