Report: AEW Might Not Go Ahead With The Elite Deletion

Not so WONDERFUL...

During last night's episode of Dynamite, Matt Hardy continued his rivalry with Chris Jericho. The Broken One took shots at The Inner Circle, calling Sammy Guevara a fake god, Proud And Powerful loud and devourable, and Jake Hager Jakenstein. He also named Jericho The Whole Of The Ass.

Having sufficiently insulted the rival faction, Matt challenged Le Champion to The Elite Deletion at the Hardy Compound. No further details were given on the match, but this will seemingly be similar to Hardy's other efforts in IMPACT Wrestling and WWE.

The promo could end up just being a filler segment on Dynamite, however, as Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that AEW was not definitely going to do the cinematic match and it was just "under consideration." Meltzer did not why The Elite Deletion had not been finalised, but a stay-at-home order is in place in North Carolina until April 29 which could prevent Jericho from being able to travel to the compound.

Meltzer said: "That’s not a sure thing, it’s just under consideration…I asked and it's absolutely under consideration but it's not a sure thing."
