Report: AEW's Rey Fenix Out With A Groin Injury

He'll be out for a little while longer

It emerged ahead of AEW Double Or Nothing that Rey Fenix was dealing with an injury which is why he wasn't involved in the Casino Battle Royal at the pay-per-view.

Further details about the former AAA Mega Champion's injury have since been revealed courtesy of Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net. Fenix is reportedly dealing with a groin injury and he was expected to be out of action for six to eight weeks, meaning he will be on the sidelines for another month.

There is no word on when exactly Fenix picked up the injury. He hasn't wrestled in AEW since the April 26 edition of Dark: Elevation when he defeated Chuck Taylor, but he has continued to appear on TV in run-ins and backstage segments.

Since Fenix has been out of action, the other members of Death Triangle have soldiered on without him. PAC was involved in the AEW World Championship match at Double Or Nothing when he clashed with Kenny Omega and Orange Cassidy. Penta El Zero Miedo was also in action in the Casino Battle Royal and both men teamed together against The Young Bucks in a losing effort on last week's Dynamite.
