Report: AEW Star Cleared For In-Ring Return

An AEW star has been cleared for an in-ring return

After getting physical on the May 10 edition of AEW Dynamite, a full in-ring return for an AEW star could be coming soon.

Matt Jackson has been on the shelf since mid-March after suffering a partial biceps tear but was seen getting physical on May 10, dishing out superkicks to the Blackpool Combat Club alongside brother Nick Jackson during Kenny Omega’s cage match main event with Jon Moxley.

A report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that Matt has indeed been fully cleared for an in-ring return, with the AEW EVP having been cleared on May 10 - apparently weeks ahead of schedule.

Jackson previously mentioned in mid-April that he was feeling good, undergoing rehab and different treatments rather than undergo a surgical procedure.

With the Elite vs. The Blackpool Combat Club currently the biggest storyline in AEW, the timing of Matt Jackson’s return couldn’t be better, with many expecting the feud to build to a monumental Blood & Guts match between the two sides.
