Report: Backstage News On The AEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Tournament

More details on the Japan bracket have been revealed

The AEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Tournament is scheduled to begin later this week and Leyla Hirsch will go one on one with Thunder Rosa on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite.

This will kick off the United States side of the tournament and the Japan bracket will begin at a later date, with matches being taped in both countries.

Dave Meltzer recently reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the Japan bracket has either already been taped or will be taped at the Ice Ribbon Dojo in Warabi, Saitama. AEW Women's World Champion Hikaru Shida revealed on Twitter over the weekend that she is in Japan and Meltzer noted she is helping produce the tournament.

How the Japan side of the Eliminator will be broadcast remains to be seen, but Tony Khan reportedly told Meltzer he's working on "something cool."
