Report: Backstage News On Theory's WWE Money In The Bank Win

Did plans change at WWE Money In The Bank?

Theory cemented himself as a rising star on July 2 as Vince McMahon's protege was announced as a last-minute addition in the Men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match and he went on to win the whole thing, last knocking Riddle off a ladder before he grabbed the briefcase.

Even though Theory was a last-minute addition in storyline, the 24-year-old was always scheduled to be in the match, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Not only that but WWE always planned to have Theory win the Ladder Match as a surprise.

The former United States Champion has received a major push since being aligned on-screen with Vince McMahon post-Survivor Series 2021 and Theory has threatened to cash in the Money In The Bank briefcase at SummerSlam. Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar are scheduled to go one-on-one in a Last Man Standing Match at the July 30 pay-per-view and the storyline belief is the winner will be exhausted following the match.
