Report: Backstage Reaction To Becky Lynch's Win At WWE SummerSlam Revealed

Becky Lynch's WWE return at SummerSlam didn't go as many expected. The Man was revealed to be Sasha Banks replacement for the SmackDown Women's Championship match against Bianca Belair, but instead of having a long match upon her return, Lynch squashed Belair in 25 seconds to win the title. 

The moment was quickly criticised by fans but the reaction backstage within WWE appears to have been more mixed.

Fightful Select noted reaction from talent and staff ranged from genuine shock to not being surprised by the booking. Belair is known backstage as being a professional with the ability to make the best out of every situation she is put in. A source also noted to Fightful that a plan is in motion for Lynch and Belair's storyline. 

Belair was said to be in good spirits after the match despite the manner in which she lost the SmackDown Women's Title. This resulted in WWE officials praising her attitude and they noted she quickly got ready to attend the SummerSlam after-party and do media appearances for the company.
