Report: Bayley Scheduled For WWE SummerSlam Weekend
Bayley has been out of action since Summer 2021
Former WWE Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley could be in line for a WWE return SummerSlam weekend.
Bayley has been out of action since June 2021 after suffering a torn ACL, and a report from PWInsider suggests Bayley is scheduled to be in Nashville SummerSlam weekend - July 30.
The former multi-time champion last wrestled on June 25 2021, losing a mixed tag match with Seth Rollins against Bianca Belair and Cesaro on SmackDown. Prior to this, Bayley had competed in a Hell in a Cell match against Bianca Belair, also in a losing effort.
‘The Role Model’s WWE return has been the source of speculation for months, with the WWE women’s roster needing a boost after so-so booking for much of the last six months.
A former NXT Women’s Champion and the first WWE Women’s Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion, Bayley has been with the company since 2012, and alongside the rest of the ‘Four Horsewomen’ (amongst others) was one of the factors in the shift from the Divas Era to WWE heavily investing and promoting the Women’s Division.
