Report: Damian Priest Absent From WWE Television Due To Back Injury

The Archer Of Infamy hasn't been seen in six weeks

Damian Priest is currently off of WWE programming because he is reportedly dealing with a back injury.

Priest has not been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania Backlash in May, where he defeated The Miz in a Zombie Lumberjack Match, bringing a halt to what had been a pretty substantial push for the former NXT superstar.

The 39-year-old's absence has seemingly been explained with Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reporting that Priest has been recovering from a back injury.

Priest's struggles with back problems were initially reported in the build-up to WrestleMania 37, which was why his tag-team match - alongside Bad Bunny - against The Miz and John Morrison was initially made a singles match between Bunny and Miz. WWE wanted to be absolutely sure Priest was able to work the bout before advertising the former NXT North American Champion for the card.

Priest would wrestle every week on Raw between WrestleMania and WrestleMania Backlash but there has been no timescale put on how long he will be off for.
