Report: Feud Pitched For Big E's WWE Return

The timeframe on Big E’s WWE return is completely up in the air, with even his recent one-year evaluation not producing anything concrete about a potential comeback to the ring. Many remain optimistic though, and WWE seem to be hopeful down the line too, as there has reportedly been a pitch for a Big E feud.

WRKD Wrestling have reported that a feud with GUNTHER could well be on the cards if he is cleared to wrestle after suffering from a broken neck last year; 

“Despite a loss to Gunther on #Smackdown one long term backstage pitch has seen Xavier Woods and a fully healed Big E and Kofi Kingston feuding with Imperium once the New Day are ready to return. 

The centerpiece for the feud would be Big E facing Gunther.”

GUNTHER successfully defended his Intercontinental Title against Xavier Woods on the April 21 edition of SmackDown, and though he did win clean, the challenger looked strong in defeat as he refused to submit and instead passed out. It is unclear whether this was to set up the aforementioned feud, or whether this will be something revisited at some point in the future.
