Report: How Long AEW Have Been Planning To Introduce The All-Atlantic Title Revealed

More on the new AEW All-Atlantic Title

All Elite Wrestling introduced a new title to the promotion last week, announcing the creation of the All-Atlantic Championship, a third men's singles belt alongside the AEW World Championship and TNT Championship.

There is no word on why Tony Khan opted to add another men's singles title to the promotion but it wasn't a last-minute decision. According to Fightful Select, 'general plans' for the All-Atlantic Title have been in place for months.

The Inaugural All-Atlantic Champion is set to be crowned in a Four-Way at All Elite Wrestling's joint Forbidden Door pay-per-view with NJPW on June 26 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. PAC qualified for the four-way on last week's Dynamite with a win over House of Black's Buddy Matthews. The next qualifier will take place on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite when Miro goes one-on-one with Ethan Page.

Another qualifier will feature Malakai Black vs. Penta Oscuro, while two representatives from New Japan Pro-Wrestling will face off in the fourth and final qualifying match.
