Report: Multiple AEW Wrestlers Test Positive For COVID-19

Their first outbreak...

AEW had its first positive coronavirus test yesterday as Lance Archer confirmed he had contracted the virus. This led to The Murderhawk Monster's six-man tag team match on Dynamite being scrapped and Jon Moxley defended the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston instead.

Archer tweeted: "When I returned from our last show, a family member was ill when I got home. I found out later a friend who had taken my family member to the Vet for our Dachshund was COVID positive. While at home, now I’ve also gotten sick tested positive. I feel ok, expect to see me in 2 wks."

According to Fightful and Spectrum Sports 360's Jon Alba, multiple AEW wrestlers who were present at the September 9 tapings have tested positive for coronavirus in the past two weeks. Some of the talent who tested positive were brought in for Dark and are not signed to AEW, but they are tested before entering Daily's Place.

If the wrestlers tested positive ahead of last night's tapings or if they had their own tests done independently is currently unknown.
