Cody Returns To AEW: Dynamite

With a new look...

On last night's edition of Dynamite, Brodie Lee defended the TNT Championship for the second time against Orange Cassidy. The King Of Sloth Style has been on a roll as of late, having twice defeated Chris Jericho, but his momentum came to a screeching halt at the hands of The Dark Order. The faction repeatedly interfered during the match and it proved to be too much for Cassidy as The Exalted One picked up the victory with the Discus Clothesline.

Mr. Brodie didn't have long to celebrate, though, as Cody's music started to play over the titantron. The commentators speculated on whether or not it was a cheap Dark Order trick, but The American Nightmare suddenly emerged from under the stage in a black suit with dyed black hair and proceeded to attack his enemies. The TNT Champion managed to scurry backstage but Cody showed a renewed intensity as he beat down 5 and forced him to tap out to the Figure Four Leglock.

This was The American Nightmare's first appearance since he was defeated by Brodie Lee for the TNT Title on August 22. If Cody will pursue the championship he lost remains to be seen, but he will be out for revenge on The Dark Order after they defeated his brother and his wife during his absence.
