Report: Plans For Debut Episode Of AEW Collision Still Up In The Air

According to the latest update from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, All Elite Wrestling's plans for the debut episode of Collision on June 17 were still up in the air as of the weekend. The location of the first episode is still expected to be announced on the May 24 edition of AEW Dynamite.

AEW Collision was officially launched on May 17 after weeks of rumours but the location of the debut episode has yet to be announced. Plans called for the show to take place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois to coincide with the return of CM Punk. The 44-year-old's status with AEW is currently up in the air, though, following a disagreement over the return of Ace Steel and it is unknown at the moment if Punk will return on June 17.

Punk was meant to be featured in promotional materials for the official launch of Collision but he was pulled from the announcement. With his status still unknown, AEW have reportedly produced a back-up plan to air the debut episode of Collision from Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida if both sides are unable to reconcile. 

Collision is scheduled to air every Saturday night in the United States on TNT. There is still no word on how the show will air in the United Kingdom and Canada.
