Report: Reason Brock Lesnar Pulled From WrestleMania Backlash Revealed

Brock Lesnar was recently pulled from WrestleMania Backlash promotional material

Earlier this week it was revealed that Brock Lesnar had been pulled from WWE’s upcoming WrestleMania Backlash event in May, and now reports have surfaced as to why WWE removed 'The Beast Incarnate' from the show.

A report from Dave Meltzer in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that Lesnar was never booked for the show, and the original promotional material was made with this knowledge in mind:

“There was never a plan discussed for a match with him [Lesnar]. This is a different type of false advertising than WWE usually does, which would be situations where they change their mind, or somebody gets hurt or sick and they know they won’t be there, but they keep it from the public and continue to advertise them. This is spreading things into a new realm, especially because Lesnar is theoretically one of the two biggest drawing cards the company has, and has been positioned as the company’s top babyface.”

Lesnar is now being advertised to return at July’s Money in the Bank event in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.
