Report: Reason WWE Booked Sami Zayn Vs. Roman Reigns Rematch On A House Show

Why WWE have booked a rematch between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn doesn't look set to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on WWE TV again anytime soon but The Underdog from the Underground is set to face Roman Reigns for the belts at WWE's house show from Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, March 4.

The event was originally set to be headlined by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE changed the main event because Zayn and Owens have yet to officially reunite on WWE TV as Zayn looks to earn KO's forgiveness so they can dismantle The Bloodline together. The company also feel they will be able to sell more tickets for the event with Zayn vs. Reigns as the main event as opposed to a tag match.

Zayn and Reigns have been feuding since Sami turned on the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at Royal Rumble. Zayn challenged for the title in his hometown of Montreal at Elimination Chamber but he came up short after spearing Jey Uso by mistake. Reigns capitalised with a spear of his own as a downed referee suddenly recovered to count the 1-2-3.
