Report: Saraya Cleared For In-Ring Return

Saraya can wrestle once again

Four years after she was forced to retire due to a serious neck injury, Saraya can reportedly return to the squared circle.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, All Elite Wrestling's Dr. Michael Sampson has officially cleared Saraya to wrestle in the promotion. When she will step in the ring for the first time since December 2017 is currently unknown.

Meltzer's report comes after Saraya was physical on Wednesday's Dynamite, fuelling speculation that she had been cleared. The two-time WWE Divas Champion exchanged punches with Britt Baker on the show before she Superkicked Rebel.

Saraya made her AEW debut at Dynamite Grand Slam on September 21, although initial reports noted she had not been cleared for an in-ring return. There was hope that would change after it was noted the amount of money she was on hinted she would wrestle for AEW at some point.

Prior to her retirement in 2018, Saraya had wrestled for 13 years on the independents and WWE after signing for the organisation in 2011. As mentioned, Saraya was a two-time Divas Champion. She was also the inaugural NXT Women's Champion.

Following her neck injury, Saraya remained signed to WWE until her contract expired earlier this year.
