Report: Triple H Doesn't View Sami Zayn As A WWE WrestleMania Headliner

Triple H reportedly doesn’t see Sami Zayn headlining WWE WrestleMania

It’s the hottest angle in wrestling, and a genuine breakout moment for Sami Zayn, but the ongoing issues between Zayn and Roman Reigns likely won’t be headlining any night of WWE WrestleMania 39.

Rumoured plans suggest that Zayn and Reigns will have a heated singles match at Elimination Chamber in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, but according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a WrestleMania showdown between the two isn’t likely.

Meltzer’s report suggests that neither Triple H nor Vince McMahon see Zayn as someone who could feasibly headline WrestleMania, despite fan interest in the feud making the case for a Mania clash. Some inside WWE have allegedly acknowledged the fact that it could run the show and plans should be changed, due to the Sami face turn at the Royal Rumble being far hotter than many thought it would be.

In the past WWE have changed plans heading into ‘The Showcase of the Immortals’ such as ‘KofiMania’ when fan support behind Kofi Kingston forced WWE’s hand, leading to Kingston defeating Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35.
