Report: Update On Randy Orton's WWE Absence

Update on Randy Orton

A positive update on Randy Orton has emerged.

Only one week after a photo of Orton looking jacked was published online, pro wrestling bootmaker Jose G. Sanz has revealed that the 14-time world champion recently got in touch with him about making a pair of boots for his in-ring return.

"I haven't made them yet but Randy Orton contacted me via email for his return. Currently, Drew McIntyre and Bray Wyatt are some of the biggest superstars. Today I received an order for boots for Cody for Wrestlemania," Sanz wrote on his Facebook Stories.

Orton underwent fusion surgery on his lower back in November 2022 and the reported belief amongst some in WWE was they would be fortunate if Orton ever wrestled again. Orton looking to get new boots seemingly means he intends to have at least one more run in WWE.

The former World Heavyweight Champion has not appeared on WWE TV since he and Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championships to The Usos on the May 20, 2022 episode of SmackDown. Orton was written off TV with a post-match attack and plans reportedly called for him to turn on Riddle upon his return.

If WWE will go back to those plans when Orton returns is unknown.
