Report: Update On WWE's SmackDown Plans at Elimination Chamber 2021

The Blue Brand could be getting its own Elimination Chamber match...

One Elimination Chamber match has already been announced for WWE Elimination Chamber 2021, and it seems a second is on the way.

According to Ringside News, SmackDown is set to have its very own Elimination Chamber contest at the event of the same name next weekend and, much like the 'Chamber match from Monday Night Raw, it will feature six male Superstars.

The report says that, at time of writing, there are no plans to have a women's Elimination Chamber match at this year's pay-per-view, indicating that the second Chamber will feature male athletes from the Blue Brand.

WWE have confirmed three matches for Elimination Chamber 2021 so far, with Drew McIntyre defending the WWE Championship against Randy Orton, AJ Styles, The Miz, Sheamus and Jeff Hardy inside the steel structure at the event. Bobby Lashley will also defend the United States Championship against Riddle and Keith Lee, while Asuka puts her Raw Women's Championship on the line against Lacey Evans.

It remains to be seen if SmackDown's Elimination Chamber will feature Roman Reigns and see The Tribal Chief defend the Universal Championship, or if the Chamber is used to create a future contender for the title, as done in previous years on The Road To WrestleMania.
