Report: WWE Could Resume Touring As Early As June

It's reported WWE are hoping to move their schedule forward

WWE's plans to resume touring could be altered to see the company get back on the road as early as June.

It had been reported earlier this week that WWE were taking a very cautious and considered approach to resuming their usual touring schedule, as the world continues to get to grips with COVID-19, with suggestions that the promotion would seek to hold a handful of test events with live crowds over the summer

However, All Elite Wrestling have openly discussed the possibility of returning to their touring schedule in July which, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, might see WWE bring their plans forward.

Meltzer notes that WWE will do everything they possibly can to make sure they are back on the road with a full touring schedule before AEW are, and there are therefore hints from within the promotion that they could return to the road as soon as June. The company are trying to balance getting back as swiftly as possible with maintaining a cautious and safe approach.

It is also noted that the plans for WWE NXT are slightly different, with it hoped that the black and gold brand could resume touring in the third quarter of 2021, which would indicate a return between July and September.
