Report: WWE Not Continuing With Def Rebel

WWE will not continue their partnership with Def Rebel after their contract expires

The most recent era of WWE entrance music has been heavily criticised by fans, with Def Rebel being one of the more unpopular musical partners the company has ever had. Since 2019, this WWE’s musical side has been led by Def Rebel, replacing CFO$. Earlier this year, it was noted by Fightful Select that WWE was well aware of the fan distaste in Def Rebel, but the contract with the group was still in place until around the end of 2024. It was also reported ahead of Randy Orton’s return from injury that he turned down an entrance theme created by Def Rebel, shutting it down before it was even finished playing for him.

Pro Wrestling Nexus have reported that WWE is not looking to continue their relationship with Def Rebel going forwards. Once the contract with them expires, it is said WWE is scrapping them and will instead look towards using more mainstream artists in the future.

Many on the current roster have had their theme songs replaced in recent years, such as Gunther, AJ Styles, Sheamus, Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Bron Breakker, Bayley, Naomi, and many more, with many of those being negatively received by fans.
