Report: WWE Pushing For Ronda Rousey Return

Is "Rowdy Ronda" on her way back?

Almost three years after her most recent match, WWE is looking to bring Ronda Rousey back into the fold, according to a report from Fightful Select.

The report claims that a Rousey return has been discussed internally, to where it's considered a "poorly kept secret". The report also states that Rousey has been under consideration as an entrant into the women's Royal Rumble match, though any consideration to usage beyond Saturday's event isn't known.

The former Raw Women's champion gave birth back in September, so it would be a turnaround if four months if she came back for the Rumble.

UFC's inaugural Women's Bantamweight champion last wrestled for WWE at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. There, she was part of the first-ever women's WrestleMania main event, a winner-take-all triple threat in which Becky Lynch pinned her to win Rousey's Raw Women's title and Charlotte Flair's SmackDown Women's title.

Rousey's one-year tenure as an active wrestler saw her go largely unbeaten before that final match. She held the Raw Women's title from August 19, 2018 to April 7, 2019.
