Report: WWE UK PPV Set For September 3

A WWE UK pay-per-view is coming

19 years on from Insurrextion 2003, WWE are set to hold a pay-per-view in the United Kingdom.

WrestleVotes reported today that a WWE UK pay-per-view will take place on Saturday, September 3 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. The show will be held on the same weekend as All Elite Wrestling's All Out show.

"Source states the long-awaited WWE United Kingdom PPV return will take place Saturday, September 3rd at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. That is the same weekend as AEW's 'All Out' PPV," WrestleVotes tweeted.

The Principality Stadium, which holds the Welsh national team's rugby union matches, can hold 78,000 fans for boxing, meaning the pay-per-view would be the company's first major event in the UK since SummerSlam 1992, which took place at London's Wembley Stadium.

WWE previously planned to hold a UK pay-per-view in 2020 with a main event of then-WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Tyson Fury but plans were scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
