Scott Steiner: Nobody Cares If They're Just Matches With No Storyline

Steiner was recently asked his opinion on AEW.

Scott Steiner has given his opinion on All Elite Wrestling.

'Big Poppa Pump' was asked during a recent interview with Sportskeeda whether he watches Tony Khan's promotion, to which he said: "I try to watch some stuff sometimes. I don't have a whole lot of time".

Asked to provide some positives regarding AEW, Steiner said:

"It's great for another place for the guys to work. Competition's always good for the business. But there's no doubt that WWE is hot right now. They got the fan interest. That's what’s most important. The thing is, you just can't have matches. Nobody gives a sh*t if they're just matches with no storyline. You're throwing two guys together…No [it doesn't work]".

Steiner's nephew Bron Breakker is currently enjoying the spotlight as a featured star on WWE Raw and will challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam.

Asked his thoughts about Bron's run on the main roster thus far, Steiner said:

"So far, it's going great, I think. We'll see what happens. But so far, they’re pushing him good".

After years of ripping into the company (as well as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon), Steiner accepting his WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2022 was one of the biggest WWE 'never say never' moments.
